    Thanks to an indie-tastic lineup

    Sasquatch! Poses Possible Coachella Threat

R.E.M., the Cure, and the Flaming Lips have all been tapped for this year's Sasquatch! Music Festival. Set to jump off on the weekend of May 24 at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA, the rather stacked bill also includes the National, Built to Spill, Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks, Battles, the Breeders, the Hives, Modest Mouse, Death Cab For Cutie, M.I.A., and Crudo, a new Mike Patton/Dan the Automator collaboration. To make things extra interesting, the Lips will be performing a "U.F.O. show" (featuring a flying saucer!) and premiering their long-delayed Christmas on Mars film.

Discounted Sasquatch! Tickets go on sale March 8. They'll then be raised twice: two days later and the week of the fest. More info can be found at http://sasquatchfestival.com/2008.
