While the Verve's currently busy writing their first album since 1997's Urban Hymns, the band has confirmed a brief tour beginning with their Coachella appearance on April 25. Okay, so they're only hitting two cities (Las Vegas' Pearl Concert Theatre on April 26 and New York's WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden on April 28-29), but these shows will be their first U.S. stops in nearly a decade. They'll also be a place to preview any new songs, as the Verve is working on their as-yet-untitled fourth album as we speak. A tentative June release is expected through EMI overseas—something their manager, Jazz Summers, is concerned about due to recent restructuring problems at the label—but the band has no home here yet despite selling more than 1.34 copies of Urban Hymns in the U.S.

"This is a very special band, with four incredibly talented people," Summers told Billboard.com. "They made three great albums before. And they're going to make another great album now. There's a bit of magic when the four of them come together."
