    Wed, 12 Mar 2008 09:40:23

On the eve of his Hall of Fame induction

A new studio album isn't the only thing Leonard Cohen fans have to look forward to this year. The razor-sharp singer/poet also has his first worldwide tour in 15 years on tap, running from two early June stops in Toronto to a pair of Austrian gigs in late August. No U.S. dates have been announced yet, though.

Cohen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday night. As for his backing band on the road, it includes Roscoe Beck (bass & vocals, music director) Neil Larsen (keyboard, accordion, brass instruments), Bob Metzger (guitar, steel guitar & vocals), Javier Mas (acoustic guitar, oud & string instruments), Christine Wu (violin, viola, cello & keyboard), Rafael Gayol (drums & percussion) and Dino Soldo (keyboard, saxophone, wind instruments & vocals).
