Dennis Hopper's Son Lands a Spot in New Wes Craven Flick

The apple didn't fall far from the tree in the Hopper household. Dennis Hopper's young spawn Henry Lee Hopper–sounds like a serial killer’s name, making this casting even more perfect—will make his big screen debut in the forthcoming Wes Craven flick, tentatively titled 25/8. Rounding out the cast is a batch of young, relative unknowns, including Denzel Whitaker, Shareeka Epps, and Emily Meade. The film will be released by Rogue Pictures.

Hopper, who is 17, a self-professed horror nerd, and who grew up studying method acting just like dear-old dad, has landed the plum lead role of Bug. In typical Craven fashion, the story arc follows seven teens who are haunted (and hunted) by a serial killer who supposedly died when they were born. The film spans the course of a day as the mystery of just who is stalking the teenyboppers slowly unravels.

Principal photography is set to begin in mid-April in the cozy confines of Connecticut. Craven is indeed the true master of horror, so expect a lot of deafening, bloodcurdling screams and the requisite amount of blood and spine tingles when this one hits the multiplex.
