Scott Weiland, Velvet Revolver Split Official
Yesterday's Velvet Revolver show in Amsterdam was apparently their last with singer Scott Weiland, who's left the band to pursue an extensive reunion tour with Stone Temple Pilots. "This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100-percent committed to either," Slash said in a statement on Tuesday. "Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."The lead guitarist didn't offer any other details. Interestingly enough, Slash said the band would start work on the follow-up to Libertad immediately following its European tour despite Weiland's onstage claim that the trek would be the band's last. It's not known if they will continue with a new frontman or not.
A press conference detailing STP's tour dates is expected to happen next week in Los Angeles.
