Jay-Z and Beyoncé Make It Official
The six-year relationship of Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles ended in wedding bells on Friday, as the couple was married at a very private ceremony with close friends and family. According to a partygoer that spoke to People magazine, the ceremony was followed by a lavish, orchid-doused (as in 50-60,000 flowers, according to another People source) reception atop Jay-Z's Tribeca penthouse—one attended by such celebs/friends as Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child, and DJ Cassidy, who was hired to spin records at the party."I never pictured myself as a bride," Knowles told Cosmopolitan in January of 2006. "But after my sister's wedding, I did start thinking about what kind of wedding I'd want. I don't think I want a big one."
