John Mayer Announces Summer Tour, CD/DVD Release
Milwaukee's Summerfest has been tapped as the jump-off date for John Mayer's month-long summer tour, which runs from July 2 to an August 2 stop in Woodlands, TX. Blackberry will sponsor the trek like it did last year, and supporting slot performances will be provided by Colbie Caillat and Brett Dennen. While Mayer's "Local 83" fan club can snag tickets starting this Thursday, April 10, the general public will have to wait until April 19.Also on the way this summer from Mayer is a new CD/DVD/Blu-Ray release spotlighting a December 2007 show at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre. The as-yet-untitled package will include an acoustic performance, a full-band set and a collaboration between Mayer and his Trio that also features Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino.
