Madonna Eyeing India For Next Adoption

The Sun has claimed that Madonna will adopt a child in India once she's done with the promo push for her April 29 album, Hard Candy. Madonna's husband, filmmaker Guy Ritchie, has apparently green-lit the idea despite rumors of the couple's rampant marital problems.

"Guy was against the idea," a source told the paper, "But when she wants something, she gets it."

The cause of the pop star's sudden interest in India was a recent trip to the country with her kids Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 7, and David, a 2-year-old adopted from Malawi. Ritchie and Madonna met with Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar while on holiday, who said (according to the Sun's source) there are orphans there that would melt the singer's heart.

Should the adoption happen, it'd debunk reports that Madonna originally wanted to adopt another child in Africa. According to The Sun, the couple decided "adopting a baby from India would be easier."
