Oliver Stone To Make Bush Biopic
Controversial filmmaker Oliver Stone, known for exploring political hot potato topics in his films, is working on a biopic, simply titled W, about much-criticized current President George W. Bush and his administration.Josh Brolin, last seen as a valiant hero in No Country For Old Men, will portray Dubya. Veteran actor James Cromwell will portray Dubya's father, 41st President George H. Bush. Filming is set to begin in Shreveport, Louisiana.
It has been said that Stone wants to release the film while Bush is still in office, in a move that could possibly influence the November election. Many Democrats have been counting the minutes till 01.29.09, Bush's final day in office, gets here. With the onset of this film, they have something else to look forward to.
