    Tue, 15 Apr 2008 10:01:15

    With three wins

The 2008 CMT Music Awards was held last night in Nashville at Belmont University's Curb Event Center. Hosted by Billy Ray Cyrus and his breakout star of a daughter, Miley, the show featured performances by Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr., Sugarland, Brad Paisley, and more. In the award department, Kellie Pickler led the pack with three nods (best breakthrough video, tearjerker video and performance). Among the other happy attendees: Taylor Swift won best female video and video of the year ("Our Song"), Bon Jovi and LeAnn Rimes won best collaborative video ("Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore"), and Sugarland won best video by a duo ("Stay").

"This is the first thing I've ever won," Pickler said in a teleconference statement backstage. "I'm here in this hotel room by myself. I feel like I should go out and run around the hotel."
