DJ Times Announces Top 100 Nominees
DJ Times has revealed the details behind its third annual "America's Best DJ" promotion, including the 100 nominees readers can vote for online at www.americasbestdj.net—many of which will appear on the magazine's spring/summer tour. That includes Josh Wink, Moby, Carl Craig, Sandra Collins, Dubfire and Miguel Migs, who'll play everywhere from opening night in Philadelphia (April 30) to a special closing party in Las Vegas (September 6, details to-be-determined).“We believe that America’s Best DJ—the contest and the tour—will continue to bring visibility for DJ culture and strengthen its lasting foundation in the US,” DJ Times editor, Jim Tremayne, said in a statement.
"Our involvement with America's Best DJ Tour extends our commitment to the art of DJing, and the experience it has on all it touches," added Matt Dever, the vice president of Pioneer's Professional Sound and Visual Division, who are sponsoring DJ Times' event for the second year in a row.
Oh, by the way: Voting begins on May 1, so if you want your favorite jockey to win like last year's George Acosta and 2006's Jonathan Peters, you better be ready to hit www.americasbestdj.net.
