Lil Wayne LP Pushed Back 'Til June
The long-awaited final installment of Lil Wayne's Carter trilogy, Tha Carter III, has been pushed back from a May 13 release date to June 10. It's unknown just how concrete that deadline is, either, as Wayne's trio of linked labels (Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown) refrained from releasing an official statement on the perpetually-delayed project."It's one of those albums people are really waiting on, so I made it so that whatever is on it will stick with you forever," Wayne told Billboard earlier this year. "I'm taking my time with it. And I'm giving artists I respect and people I want to do songs with—not songs the label fixed—an opportunity to collaborate."
Wayne does have a pair of set plans for this weekend, however:
4/26 Winston-Salem, NC - Joel Coliseum
4/27 Birmingham, AL - BJCC Arena
