Nicole and Tom's Adopted Son "Cruises" into films

Connor Cruise, the 13-year-old adopted son of Tom Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman, has joined the family biz. The teenager has snatched a role, albeit a non-speaking one, in Seven Pounds, a drama starring Cruise family friend, Will Smith. Little Connor will play a younger version of Smith in the flick, which follows a man who affects the lives of seven strangers, sort of like MTV's reality drama fest The Real World. This is Connor's very first film and word is that his papa is quite proud.

Rosario Dawson also stars.

Given all the press coverage that baby Suri, Cruise's lookalike biological daughter with current wife, Katie Holmes, receives in both gossip and mainsteam media, we thought she'd be the first Cruise kid to leap to the big screen. We're glad to report that while Tom does practice Scientology, he doesn't practice nepotism when it comes to his 3 kids.
