    Common Unveils New Album

Common held a private listening party for Invincible Summer last night, revealing eight songs from the new effort. Featuring the production of the Neptunes and noted OutKast beat-maker Mr. DJ, the disc is free of any Kanye West collaborations and heavy on club bangers. Yes, club bangers … from Common.

"I created this music for the summer time, it's about feeling good," Common told Billboard.com. "This is the type of music I felt was missing from my body of work. He added, "Kanye was focusing on his 'Glow in the Dark' show, so he hasn't been able to make it to the studio to weight in. But it worked out well, organically. The Neptunes & Mr. DJ came up with a fresh sound for me."

Among the standouts of that fresh sound are the techno-tinged drums of "Univeral Mind Control (U.M.C.)," the blown-out kazoos of "Punch Love," and the Cee-Lo guest spot of "Make My Day."

    The tracklisting for now:

    "Universal Mind Control (U.M.C.)"
    "Make My Day" feat. Cee-Lo
    "Punch Love"
"What A World" feat. Chester French
    "Changes"
    "Party Shit"
    "Dreaming"
    "Runaway" feat. Santogold
