"Terminator" is Anything but Common

Rapper Common has snatched a plum role for his expanding film resume. The musician will star in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, the fourth installment of the long-running, hightly successful action series.

Christian Bale, already gearing up for a blazing hot summer thanks to his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight, will play the adult version of John Connor, the savior whose destiny it is to save the human race from the rise of the machines. Common will play a member of Connor's inner circle who is also fighting to destroy the machines. Sam Worthington is also on board to star.

This is the rappers second major movie role coup. He will also appear as The Gunsmith in this summer's graphic novel action advernture, Wanted, starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman.

Bring on those monstrous machines!
