Lil Wayne Takes on Film, TV Roles

Lil Wayne has been linked to at least two new movies: Patriots, a Forest Whitaker feature that began filming in New Orleans last month, and the fourth installment of The Fast and the Furious, which will also feature Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Michelle Rodriguez. While the former is due out in November, the latter's on tap for 2009.

In other Lil Wayne news, BET executive vice president Stephen Hill told Billboard.com, "I'll give you a little tidbit—Lil Wayne is probably closing [the June 24 BET Awards]. So, we have a grand opening [from Usher] and [a] grand closing."

Lil Wayne's long-delayed Tha Carter III LP is due out on June 10.
