Janet Jackson Announces First Tour in Seven Years
Janet Jackson revealed some of the details behind her "Rock Withchu" tour—the singer's first in seven years—yesterday. Speaking to the Associated Press, she said, "I was supposed to go on tour with [2006's 20 Y.O.]. We were actually in full-blown tour rehearsals … learning numbers, getting everything together, set designs. I had to kind of shut everything down and go into the studio."Jackson's studio time led to the completion of her latest CD, Discipline. She'll support the hit disc with worldwide dates, beginning on September 10 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Tickets go on sale June 7 and full details will be available on www.janetjackson.com soon.
"It will definitely be a big production but it will definitely also be something that I've never done before, that people have never seen from me before," she said. "It's been a while so I really want to make my rounds."
