Scorsese's Out, Demme's In For Marley Biopic
Martin Scorsese has pulled out of the production behind an as-yet-untitled Bob Marley biopic, citing "scheduling conflicts." Replacing the director is fellow film legend Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia), who last worked with Shangri-La Entertainment on Neil Young's acclaimed Heart of Gold documentary.February 6, 2010, remains the intended release date of the Marley film, mostly because it's the 65th anniversary of his birth. Ziggy Marley is also still onboard as a key executive producer.
