Bow Wow Trading the Studio for the Big Screen

Rapper Bow Wow—that's Shad Moss on his birth certificate and to his mama—is trading the recording studio for the big screen. After six successful albums and spending 16 years in the recorded music sphere, the rapper is looking to rip a page out of Will Smith's book and garner Hollywood success.

To start, Bow Wow will appear on the fifth season of HBO's popular Entourage series in the recurring role of Charlie, a stand up comic that is a client of Kevin Connolly's character. He has also nabbed a role in the forthcoming sports film Patriots, opposite Forest Whitaker. The film is based on the true story of post-Katrina high school basketball teams.

While the multi-tasking Bow Wow will finish work on his seventh album, tentatively titled H.I.M.(History in the Making), later this year, he has also completed a role in the forthcoming indie flick Driving Lessons.
