Maryland Judge Drops Judgement Against DMX
A Maryland judge has overturned a $1.5 million defamation judgment against DMX. The rapper's defense team said he was not served the proper papers for a January hearing, which led to DMX missing his court date. Judge Thomas Smith agreed with them.Monique Wayne claims her name was ruined when DMX (born Earl Simmons) said she raped him in August of 2003. Wayne ended up pregnant after the incident, which she insists was consensual.
In other DMX legal news, he's still facing charges for drug possession and animal cruelty in Arizona.
