T4: The Future Begins

New details about Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, the fourth installment in the Terminator series, have emerged.

The film, starring Christian Bale in the role of human race savior John Connor, has begun principal photography in New Mexico. It's set in post-apocalyptic 2018, with Connor again leading the charge against Skynet and the Terminators. Sam Worthington will portray Marcus, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. The appearance of Marcus will force Connor to decide whether or not Marcus has been sent from the future or was rescued from the past. Together, Connor and Marcus will take on Skynet and continue the battle to save mankind from the machines.

Also on board to star are Charlotte Gainsbourg as Kate Connor, Moon Bloodgood as Blair Williams, Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese, and Common as Barnes.

The film is set for release on May 22, 2009. Bring on the machines.
