LL Cool J Signs Clothing Deal With Sears
Sears has snagged LL Cool J for an exclusive young boys/girls clothing line featuring such LL elements as an embroidered tattoo (on a jacket) and actual lyrics (on a T-shirt). Simply called LL Cool J for Sears, it'll be sold in 450 stores across North America."I was raised by a matriarch, I have a wife and three daughters, so I know what women are looking for when they shop for clothes," LL, real name James Todd Smith, told WWD.com. "Clothes have to make a woman feel good, relaxed and sexy. We are going to be constantly looking at fine-tuning the fit and we'll get it right."
A previous LL Cool J line called Todd Smith already went after the men's clothing market. The rapper also helped launched FUBU in the '90s.
