Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan Seek to Put "Women in Chains"
Hot off the heels of their artistically stunning yet commercially disappointing joint effort, the exploitation throwback Grindhouse, engaged couple Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan, who met on the set of the film, are pitching a prison drama to network television. The show, titled Women in Chains!, is reportedly a violent drama that will feature McGowan as its star. Rodriguez will most likely direct episodes, while McGowan will play one of five incarcerated women. Rumors abound that the show will have a campy, exploitation film vibe, much like Planet Terror. Expect hair pulling, mud wrestling, and plenty of cat-like hissing on this potential series.
