T.I. Signs Reality Show Deal

MTV has grabbed T.I. for an eight-episode reality show. The documentary style series will follow the rapper as he performs more than 1,000 hours of community service in preparation for a one-year prison sentence.

Born Clifford Harris, T.I. was arrested just before the BET Hip-Hop Awards last October and charged with possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He will begin his prison sentence in early 2009.

T.I.'s latest album, Paper Trail, will hit stores on August 12.
