    Actor joins cast

Rainn on the "Transformers 2" Parade

Rainn Wilson of The Office and Six Feet Under fame has landed a role in next year's Transformers 2, the sequel to last summer's live action hit based on the popular television show.

The bespectacled actor, who had a brief but hilarious cameo at the beginning of Juno, will portray a college professor in the film, which features returning cast members Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, and John Turturro. Filming has begun in Los Angeles and will switch to Pennsylvania before the production heads overseas.

Expect Wilson to inject his patented brand of comic relief into the film, to be directed by Michael Bay. In other Bay news, the director does not live in fear of the Ouija board, the game that claims players can make contact with otherwordly spirits. Bay's Platinum Dunes production company is currently translating the game to the big screen.

Bay and his Platinum Dunes cohorts will produce with Hasbro, the company that manufactures the game. The game will come to life as part of a supernatural action adventure. No further details about the plot are available at the moment.
