Wes Bentley and Katharine McPhee to Tell "Stories"
She may have been the runner-up on Season Five of American Idol, but Katharine McPhee is anything but idle career-wise. Despite having been recently dropped by RCA Records, McPhee is keeping busy and moving forward with her film career. The singer-turned-actress has just signed on to star with brooding actor Wes Bentley in The Storyteller, an independent psychological drama.Feverpitch will release the film, in which Bentley portrays a writer who loses his mind after his father dies, causing his assistant, played by McPhee, to figure out if her boss' stories are more truth than fiction. Production is slated to begin in August.
McPhee "phanatics" can check out her comedic chops in this summer's silly Playboy-inspired farce House Bunny, which also stars Anna Faris.
