Bryce Dallas Howard Taking Out Charlotte Gainsbourg

Bryce Dallas Howard is locked in negotiations to replace French "It" girl Charlotte Gainsbourg in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. If she takes the role, Howard would play Kate Connor, the wife of resistance leader John Connor, whom we all know is fighting to save humanity from the machines of the future.

Apparently, Gainsbourg had to bail due to scheduling conflicts, as she is already committed to filming a French comedy. Production on Terminator Salvation is already underway in New Mexico, with a May 2009 release date in the books.

Howard, the red-headed-lookalike daughter of famed director Ron Howard, is no stranger to big action films, having played Peter Parker's "other" girl Gwen Stacy in last summer's Spider-Man 3.
