John Cusack's about to get company
Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt Eyeing "2012"
The disaster flick 2012 is about to get fully staffed. John Cusack is already attached to play a cabbie in the film, where he'll likely be joined by Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, and Oliver Platt. The three actors are in talks to take roles in the disaster/adventure/sci-fi film.In a "life imitating art" scenario that many political followers are hoping for, Glover will portray the President, with Newton as the First Daughter. Platt would play Glover's chief of staff. Columbia plans to release the film on July 10, 2009, with filming to take place next month, barring the SAG strike.
