Busta Rhymes, Chris Cornell Join Projekt Revolution Tour
Linkin Park's fifth annual Projekt Revolution tour has rounded up Busta Rhymes, Chris Cornell, 10 Years, Armor For Sleep, Ashes Divide, Atreyu, Hawthorne Heights, Street Drum Corps, and the Bravery. Set to kick off on July 16 in Mansfield, MA, the amphitheater-heavy trek will wind down on August 24 in Woodlands, TX.Interestingly enough, Linkin Park co-frontman Mike Shinoda said the tour wouldn't have any hip-hop artists this year in an April interview with LiveDaily. He explained, "I think maybe in the future we'll have some more hip-hop artists back on the bill, but last year and this year we didn't find the right rap groups to put on the show. There weren’t any that we felt would mix well with everything. And I think, for this one, it's pretty much an all-rock bill and there's a ton of variety this year. I think this is a really diverse bill, as far as rock goes."
Busta Rhymes latest disc, Blessed, was originally set for last December and is now expected on July 1. The effort features Kanye West, Timbaland, RZA, Mary J. Blige, Common, Akon, and more.
