    For a special encore performance

Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones Join Foo Fighters

Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin made a surprise appearance at Foo Fighters' Wembley Stadium show on Saturday night. The legendary duo backed the band during encore renditions of "Rock and Roll" and "Ramble On," with the former featuring Dave Grohl on drums and Taylor Hawkins on vocals. The performance was the first pseudo Zeppelin reunion since their one-off gig at the O2 Arena last December. Robert Plant was not at the show, as he's currently on a North American tour with Alison Krauss.

Grohl had hinted at the evening's special guests earlier on, saying, "We're gonna do something we've never done at a Foo Fighters show and it's gonna blow your shit out the door! Tonight this is gonna be the show that we're gonna be talking about for the next 20 years."

The Foos finished their set without Page and Jones, playing "Best of You" right before a literal fireworks finale. Grohl ended the night by saying, "Welcome to the greatest fucking day of my life!"
