Adam Sandler Trades Happy for Scary Madison
There's no denying that Adam Sandler is comedy and box office gold. The actor's nebbish routine has sold millions of movie tickets and turned him into a household name. However, Sandler is ambitiously stretching his creative muscle by launching Scary Madison, the thriller arm of his production company, Happy Madison, which has churned out dozens of box office smashes. The first film for the Scary Madison shingle will be Shortcut, the story of two brothers who move to a new town and discover an unused shortcut. As the plot unfolds, the siblings find out just why the path isn't taken more often. Virtual acting unknowns Shannon Woodward and Dave Franco are a part of the cast. Sandler will serve as executive producer. Production starts next week in Saskatchewan.
