R. Kelly's Defense Rests
R. Kelly's defense team has rested their case after just two days of calling counter-witnesses to the stand in the singer's underage sex case. Cook County Criminal Court Judge Vincent Gaughan declared a recess among the jury on Monday morning after Kelly's lawyers said they had no one else around to testify. While rebuttal testimony started today with two more witnesses planned from the prosecution side (forensic video expert Grant Frederics and Atlanta prosecutor Robert Wolf), closing arguments could begin as early as Thursday.
