Pac Man and Donkey Kong and Asteroids, oh my!
Leonardo DiCaprio Loves "Atari"
Anyone who grew up during the 1980s undoubtedly has a fond recollection of the Atari video game system, which seems dinosaur-like in the wake of today's high tech, visually stunning game market. Nevertheless, Paramount is producing a biopic about Nolan Bushnell, one of the two creators of Atari. Leonardo DiCaprio will portray the lead role of Bushnell.DiCaprio will also serve as a producer on the film as part of his Appian Way production company. The film looks at Bushnell and his partner Ted Dabney, who founded Atari in 1972. The pair revolutionized the video game medium, bringing games and consoles to the masses, effectively creating the home gaming culture as we know it today. Production and release dates have not been revealed at this time.
