    Coldplay Postpones Tour Start

The June 29 kick-off of Coldplay's summer tour has been delayed until mid-July. In a statement, the band cited "production delays which mean that the show simply won't be ready." Free shows in London (June 16), Barcelona (June 17) and New York (June 23) are still happening as scheduled, but the first North American leg of Coldplay's trek will now start on July 14-15 in Los Angeles. An updated itinerary is available at http://www.coldplay.com/index.php. Refunds for the group's postponed dates are available, although fans can also use their tickets for the rescheduled stops.

Coldplay's fourth album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, is due out on June 17 through Capitol. The album's title track peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 last week, quickly becoming the band's biggest hit so far.
