"Kid Cannabis" Lining Up

Potheads of the world, rejoice! The cast of Kid Cannibis is slowly but surely being filled out. Chris Marquette, Cam Gigandet, and Aaron Yoo will star in the film, based on the unbelievable true story of a pair of Idaho denizens who start a lucrative marijuana ring. John Stockwell will direct the film.

Marquette is set to play Kid Cannabis, who, with his best friend, portrayed by Gigandet, smuggles weed into the potato country that is Idaho from their neighbor to the north, Canada. They enjoy a degree of success with their operation until FDA agents wise up to their scheme.

The film has been adapated from several magazine articles on the subject. Production begins this July in Vancouver, largely considered a "green" friendly place.
