Cyd Charisse Passes Away
Big screen dancing queen Cyd Charisse, who enjoyed her heyday in the 1950s and 1960s, has passed away in Los Angeles. Charisse was 86-years-old. Word is she died of complications from heart disease.Charisse became famous for her onscreen work, partnering with icons including Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. She appeared in famous films such as Singin' in the Rain.
Charisse is survived by two sons, two grandchildren, and her longtime husband, crooner Tony Martin.
