Even Slayer's excited for it
Trivium Ready Fourth LP
Trivium has completed its fourth record in time for a fall release. Due out September 30 through Roadrunner, Shogun was recorded in Nashville alongside producer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters)."We made a cohesive, epic metal album that combines all of the ingredients of everything we feel we have ever done 'right' musically, while adding a new direction that the music called for," vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy said in a statement. "We had so much fun creating this album and hope our fans feel that energy when they listen."
European fans will get a chance to feel that energy this fall as Trivium joins forces with Slayer on the "Unholy Alliance: Chapter 3" tour. "I'll be at the side of the stage watching them," Slayer guitarist Kerry King told Total Guitar magazine. "Great players like that make us want to do better."
