Heather Locklear Battling Depression

Actress Heather Locklear recently checked into an in-patient treatment facility in Arizona. Her publicist released a statement, saying her normally upbeat client is dealing with anxiety, depression, and is looking to have her condition reevaluated. She went on to comment that no more details about this personal medical matter will be made available.

Being evaluated under the media's microscope and in the public eye is familiar territory for celebrities. Locklear dealt with heaps of tabloid and gossip coverage over the past year, especially when her marriage to guitarist Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi fame fell apart.
