The Jesus and Mary Chain Reveal Box Set

Rhino Records has announced the release of a four-CD Jesus & Mary Chain box set. Due out September 30, The Power of Negative Thinking: B-Sides & Rarities features 19 of the 20 tracks from Barbed Wire Kisses, along with a lo-fi version of "Up Too High" and a host of previously unreleased tracks, demos, and alternate versions. As is usually the case with Rhino releases, the collection features over-the-top packaging: a 6-by-10 gatefold case and an 18-by-24 poster featuring a family tree and special artwork.

As for the group's supposed reunion record, it's still a work in progress.
