Nicolas Cage, Tilda Swinton, Pierce Brosnan Spooked by "The Ghost"

Exiled director Roman Polanski has stocked the cast of his forthcoming political thriller The Ghost with A-list talent. Nicolas Cage, recent Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner Tilda Swinton and Pierce Brosnan are all set to star.

Production of the film, adapted from a Robert Harris novel, begins this September in Europe, where Polanski continues to live and make films despite the legal charge of having sex with a minor that still lingers over his head in the United States. In The Ghost, Cage will play a ghost writer tapped to finish the memoirs of a former British Prime Minister (played by Brosnan) after his predecessor turns up dead. As he delves into the job, he discovers more dirt about the PM, further jeopardizing his life. The ethereal Swinton will portray the wife of Brosnan's PM and Cage's eventual love interest.
