CartStars, Black Mountain Among Polaris Nods

The Polaris Music Prize committee has announced its short list of Canada-centric nominees, including Black Mountain, Stars, The Weakerthans, Caribou, and Holy Fuck. Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre will host the third annual Polaris award show on September 29. Previous winners include Patrick Watson and Final Fantasy.
