Shudder to Think Reveal Reunion Dates
Shudder to Think have confirmed their first official reunion since 1998, a number of festival dates and North American stops that start on August 10 in Baltimore and wind down on November 2 in San Francisco. A bit of fine print: Founding bassist Stuart Hill will sit out the trek, and the band's Pony Express Record drummer, Adam Wade, will only play west coast dates. So that means a few guests will also join the ride, including guitarist Mark Watrous (Gosling) and bassist Jesse Krakow (Time of Orchids)—both of which played a one-off Shudder to Think show at New York's Mercury Lounge last fall."No, we did not get fat," guitarist Nathan Larson said in a press release. "If anybody can send me guitar tabs for the Pony Express material, I'd greatly appreciate it."
"Our music is continuing to seep out, like syrup from a tree or the remains of a sweet, sticky picnic," added frontman Craig Wedren. "Every day, new people—many too young to have caught us during the first go-round—are contacting us after 'discovering' our music. I'm constantly meeting people who feel the same way about our music that we do, and it makes me feel indescribably good. This tour is our way of saying 'thank you.'"
Expect additional STT dates in the near future. For now, here are the lucky ones:
8/10 Baltimore, MD - Virgin Mobile Festival
9/5 Chicago, IL - Park West
9/6 Toronto, Ontario - Virgin Festival
10/3 Philadelphia, PA - Theater of the Living Arts
10/4 New York, NY - Webster Hall
10/11 Boston, MA - Paradise
10/25 New Orleans, LA - Voodoo Music Festival
11/1 Los Angeles, CA - El Rey
11/2 San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore
