Heineken Red Star Tour Confirms Third Annual Lineup

Los Angeles' Boulevard3 venue will host the kickoff concert of the third annual Heineken Red Star Soul series on August 6. While Ashanti and Goapele are set to perform that night, Keyshia Cole, Musiq Soulchild, Raheem DeVaughn and Chrisette Michelle will rotate through eight other major markets between August and October. Bryan-Michael Cox will also appear at select shows.

Kenny Burns, the host of the popular BET show Black Poker Stars Invitational, will MC the entire tour as well as serve on a committee that chooses the Heineken Independent Achiever Award. Past winners include Gerald LeVert, J. Dilla, and one of Kanye West's early beat-making influences, the Chicago producer No I.D.
