Dream Theater DVDs on the Way

Dream Theater's worldwide "Chaos in Motion" tour will get a full-on DVD treatment this fall. Due out in a double DVD set and a deluxe, expanded three CD/two DVD collection on September 23, Chaos In Motion 2007/2008 is the first Dream Theater film to feature footage from different cities. (Their previous three platinum-certified DVDs focused on everything from New York City to the Budokan.)

The band's drummer, Mike Portnoy, also happens to be Dream Theater's creative director, so he strung together three hours of performances from Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, Toronto, Boston, Bangkok and Vancouver. A second DVD disc includes such bonus material as promo videos, live screen projection films, and a 90-minute documentary "that'll make you feel like you're riding in the passenger's seat of the band's tour bus."
