Michael J. Fox to be "Rescued"
Michael J. Fox is in negotiations to return to the medium that made him a star. The actor, who is afflicted with the nervous system disorder Parkinson's Disease, which hastened his exit from performing, is wrapping up negotiations to join the hit firefighter drama Rescue Me.Fox would play a rival for the love interest of series star Denis Leary. Fox would appear in at least five episodes of the upcoming fifth season.
Fox's career gained initial liftoff from his role as young Republican Alex P. Keaton on '80s sitcom Family Ties. Fox's role on the show lead to greater fame, namely the smash hit Back to the Future and its sequels. He has since been sidelined by his disease.
