Stones Throw Readies Madvillain Sequel of Sorts

Stones Throw Records has announced a special alternate version of Madvillain's acclaimed debut, Madvillainy. Dubbed Madvillainy "2" The Madlib Remix, the disc was made "for headphone listening while [Madlib] was on a ten-hour plane ride to Tokyo." While a digital version is available now for $9.99 at www.stonesthrow.com/news/madvillain-box, a special limited, deluxe version can be pre-ordered between now and August 15 for a drop-dead September 15 ship date.

Included in the box set is a CD version of the 25-track sequel, a "One Beer (Drunk Version)" 7-inch, the "Madvillainy Demo Tape" on cassette (!), a T-shirt, a comic book that continues the storyline of the "All Caps" video, and a silver-embossed box that resembles MF Doom's mask.
