And a fall tour
Deerhoof Finalize New Full-Length
Several sequencing changes later—including a scrapped two-act version—Deerhoof have finally determined the tracklisting for its new disc, Offend Maggie. Due out October 7 through Kill Rock Stars, the set includes 14 new tracks."In typical annoying Deerhoof fashion we sent the finished master to Kill Rock Stars three separate times, each with a different order," drummer Greg Saunier explained. "Every year I promise them that this is last time we'll do this to them! If you ever noticed that our lyric sheets are always out of order it's because this happens every time and the printing machine is already spitting out lyric sheets so it's too late to redo it."
In other Deerhoof news, the band has confirmed an October/November run through the U.S, from an October 3 stop in Los Angeles through a November 13 show in Tempe, AZ.
