Wrapping up the weekend in fine form
Kanye West, Nine Inch Nails Headline Lollapalooza
Kanye West and Nine Inch Nails closed a sold-out Lollapalooza in Chicago on Sunday night, drawing in chunks of a crowd that reached as many as 75,000 people. While West spiked his 90-minute set with such hits as "Homecoming," "Touch the Sky" and "Jesus Walks," Trent Reznor and company conquered the other side of the park with an elaborate light show and pop-tinged industrial tracks. The previous night was a standoff between polar opposites as well, as Wilco delivered a hometown hero set of frayed country tunes and Rage Against the Machine revved up fans to the point where singer Zach de la Rocha had to say, "Five or six steps, brothers and sisters. Please! Please step back!"Radiohead finished the evening on Friday, one of more than 120 bands that played the nation's self-proclaimed "largest alternative music festival."
