'Nashville Star' Awards Sixth Annual Champion
NBC's Nashville Star held its finale last night, handing the show's crown over to Melissa Lawson, a 32-year-old mother of five. Billy Ray Cyrus hosted the proceedings, with Jewel, Jeffrey Steele, and John Rich of Big & Rich helping out with the judging.Lawson's first single, "What If It All Goes Right," has already hit radio stations through Warner Bros. Nashville. A Nashville Star Live tour kicks off on September 12 in St. Louis and will hit U.S. cities throughout the fall.
