Bad Week for Morgan Freeman

Following a serious car accident in Mississippi that left him with a few broken bones, legendary actor Morgan Freeman has announced that he and his wife of 24 years, costume designer Myrna Colley-Lee, will be divorcing. Freeman's attorney Bill Luckett confirmed that the actor and his missus are "involved in divorce action."

While the identity of the female passenger in the car with Freeman at the time of the accident was revealed to be Demaris Meyer, it is not known if Meyer has anything to do with the couple's split. No other details are available at press time. Freeman is also said to be recovering from his injuries.

In other follow up news, the feds have dropped the federal probe into the accidental death of Freeman's Dark Knight co-star, Heath Ledger. Apparently, those investigating the actor's death felt there isn't a "viable target" who provided the painkillers to Ledger. Looks like Mary-Kate Olsen can breathe a sigh of relief.
